RowHero will always try to stay connected to the Concept2, but sometimes we’ll need your help to keep the connection alive. This section shares some common causes for the connection to fail and shows you what you can do to fix them.
Android Only: Battery Saver Mode
You may find that when your battery is low that RowHero stops running and fails to record part of your workout. (Did this happen to you? You can still import your workout from the Concept2 memory.)
To prevent this, disable battery optimizations for RowHero. Instructions may differ between Android models. Below you can see how to do it for a Samsung Galaxy S9.
Step by Step: Disabling Battery Optimizations for RowHero
- Open your Settings app.
- Tap on “Apps.”
- Scroll to “RowHero” and tap on it.
- Tap on “Battery.”
- Tap on “Optimize battery usage.”
- Tap on the drop down near the top of the screen which says “Apps not optimized” and then tap on the “All apps” option.
- Tap on the drop down near the top of the screen which says “Apps not optimized” and then tap on the “All apps” option.
- Scroll to “RowHero” and make sure the switch position is off, so that your phone will not optimize battery usage for RowHero.
